Position Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse LPN works under direct supervision of the Director of Nursing using the state-specific Nurse Practice Act, Practice Guidelines, and nursing judgment.

Responsibilities & Duties of the Licensed Practical Nurse LPN:

·Delivering quality nursing care to residents

·Ensuring patients medical needs are being addressed

·Collecting patient data and making observations

·Reporting pertinent information to the care of patients

·Ensuring patient receives appropriate care based on diagnosis and treatment plans

·Documenting and reporting observations of patient behavior, complaints, physical symptoms, or change in condition

·Direct and supervise other nursing staff members as needed

Qualifications of the Licensed Practical Nurse LPN:

·Ideal candidate must be a caring and compassionate individual dedicated to providing high quality of care to residents

·Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN in – OH

·Able to react to emergency situations appropriately when required

·Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition
